Hi, I’m Dr. Masoodah Essop, and what inspired me to become a dentist was my keenness for wanting to make a difference and my love for art, actually. And not many people know this, but being a dentist, you need to have a bit of a creative side to actually follow through with your work and kind of be able to see the end goal when you're doing smile makeovers.
The most rewarding part I feel about my job is the fact that I can physically see the difference I'm making in people's lives. The fact that you can see this physically, you know, this physical difference when people come and they actually have tears of joy when you give them back their smile. That for me is something that gives you that ultimate job satisfaction. I feel no amount of money would be able to give me that same fulfillment.
